James C. Tanner – Present – Writer, Author, and Speaker

Canadian born, James C. Tanner, is a published writer, and was first published at the age of 16.  He has written, and taught business training programs for clients such as the Government of Canada.  A known and recognized author to 84 publishers.  As of June 2007, when publishers had completed a collected tally, it was discovered that James C. Tanner’s articles and written comments were reaching a potential audience of 12.5 million monthly readers.  He has published books and articles on subjects related to business, internet marketing, psychology and matters relating to the human spirit.

 

Calico GOLD Building Services – 1995 to 2005 –- General Manager

A new business start up commencing in 1995, James C. Tanner through his strong entrepreneurial and small business management stylings built up and operated a building services, physical plant management, and property maintenance contracting business.  Under the umbrella of this company, he also created and taught a business skills training program under contract to the Human Resources Development Branch of the federal government of Canada.

 

Aaron Applebee’s Contract Painting Services -  2003 to 2005 – General Manager

As a division of Calico GOLD Building Services, in 2003, to reach a specific market,  James C. Tanner began and built a small commercial and residential painting business which he ran in conjunction to the parent business.

 

R-U-O-K Services Inc. – 1992 to 1995 – Agency Director / Special Investigator

As the Director of Operations and while acting as a Special Investigator, James C. Tanner led a small professional investigation agency which catered to clients such as ICBC, the legal community, corporations, and private families.  While the major nature of investigative files were definable as various forms of insurance fraud, cross border industrial smuggling, employee theft, as well as loss prevention, James C. Tanner’s personal specialty lay in the area of cult and occult related crime, with a targeted focus on the ritual slaughter of animals.

 

Lonestar Property Maintenance – 1986 to 1992 – Founder/General Manager

After the personal bankruptcy of a former employer, James C. Tanner launched a new business venture and founded Lonestar Property Maintenance, a business which provided contract services to physical building plants, as well as contract landscape and property maintenance.  While working in this capacity, he grew new business sales into six figures within the first three months of operation and maintained an unheard of client renewal rate, boasting a 100 percent contract renewal rate for 4 consecutive years.  Managing a workforce which averaged around 10 employees, James C. Tanner built up a solid business.  His employee turn-over rate was an incredibly low and almost unheard of figure of 5% in an industry which typically boasted a 75% employee turn-over rate.  Lonestar Property Maintenance sold in 1992, and went on throughout the following years to provide income for two additional back to back owners.
